I have made this hoping that it may help with seeing the difference between a refugee and an asylum-seeker. Asylum seekers can only become refugees after their asylum claims are accepted by the Home Office.

Aspen Card Errors Impoverished UK asylumseekers Asylum seekers in the UK use a prepaid card called ASPEN CARD to withdraw their £39 subsistence payments. In May 2020, authorities decided to change all Aspen Cards causing countless errors affecting thousands of asylum seekers. Most asylum seekers have faced hunger including myself and my family. I have made this short film to give viewers a chance to look through an asylum seeker's point of view.
